Mission Statement
1984 Entertainment (c) is a literally a brand new company in the Entertainment
World. Started in 2005 by Ehren Hertel
for a very specific purpose. To write, direct, and produce quality and
intriguing independent films of all genres. To make films with a point, a message
and something that makes them new, different, or special.
Ehren may has started this as a jumping
off point for his own films, but down the road he hopes to be helping indie
filmmakers across the country. With either setting up meetings with someone
who can assist them, financing when possible, and most importantly help through
collaboration and creative cooperation. Working together, indie filmmakers will
succeed together.
Another mission 1984 has is to create a listing of actors and actresses who can
actually act. One common problem in indie film is the constant casting of friends
who want to be in a movie, and have no talent. Bad acting CAN kill your movie.
Also, there are plenty of actors and actresses who would love to do indie, so
why not use them. You get a talented cast, they get more on their resume.
Also down the road is to 1. establish connections with Talent Agencies who will
accept a reccommendation of a client from 1984 Entertainment (c) as a very complimentary
act. Also, to possibly get enough of a name whereas 1984 Entertainment (c) can
act as an agent, and pitch to other studios.
We are not a studio, or a production company, or a distribution company,
we are not a talent agency,we are creative, we are artists, and we mean business.
